HEAD COACH: STEVE WESTON
DPSC's Head Coach is Steve Weston. Steve's coaching credentials include a Canadian Soccer Association B National License, a B Provincial License, Community Coach Youth and Community Coach Senior certificates. Steve was the coach of the U13 girls Provincial team and the Vancouver Metro U16 girls team for the 2007/08 season. With his 25 years of soccer experience Steve brings a wealth of expertise in player development, youth referee development and misconduct resolution.
Steve's Coaching Philosophy:

A one-time cost of $50 to purchase a DPSC Player Development training jacket is required: Adidas Tiro full zip, navy blue, with DPSC embroidered crest and player initials on back. (Also available to volunteer coaches at a fractionally higher cost, please contact admin@douglasparksoccer.ca )

CENTRAL SOCCER PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2011 - 2012
U10 - U18 BOYS & GIRLS (2002 - 1994 born)
Douglas Park Soccer Club (DPSC) is once again offering the Central Soccer Player Development Program for male and female players of all ability levels. Registration will be accepted for players from U10 to U18 (players born 2002 - 1994). For the Winter 2012 Session, DPSC is pleased to be collaborating with Vancouver FC to offer a broad range of professional coaching expertise and soccer development experience for the players. Vancouver FC administers the elite level soccer program for the Vancouver district, and field male and female teams competing in the Boys Selects and the Girls Metro Leagues of Metro Vancouver. Coaches from Vancouver FC will be participating in the on-field training activities for all of the Winter 2012 sessions. For players interested in competing at the selects level, this will offer an opportunity for greater exposure between the coaches and prospective players.

Professional coaching will be provided by past and present university and college soccer players (male and female) under the direction and leadership of Steve Weston Head Coach Douglas Park Soccer Club. All Player development sessions will be set prior to the commencement of the first session.

Fee:
$150.00, registration fee includes cost of professional coaching under the direction of Steve Weston; Central
Soccer Player Development training jersey; and all field / equipment costs. Fee is discounted if player
participated already during the Fall 2011 session and received a jersey.
Program Details:
Emphasis on development of fundamental individual technical and ball control skills such as dribbling; passing
& receiving; moving and shooting. Regardless of age, all players will be assessed and placed in the
appropriate skill development group to match their ability. Players will be constantly assessed and may be
moved between groups at any time.

Deadline:
Please register by December 31, 2011 to ensure placement in the program. Registration is open to players
